Eshnunna
Eshnunna was an ancient city-state in the Diyala valley, east of the Tigris, known for its law code. It was a rival of Babylon and was finally destroyed by Hammurabi of the Babylonian Empire around 1755 BCE. Its location near Elam also tied it to the politics of the Elamite Confederation.
