Zimri-Lim

Zimri-Lim was the last king of Mari, a city-state on the middle Euphrates in present-day Syria, in the eighteenth century BCE. His palace archive is a major source for the period. The Elamite ruler was addressed as 'father', denoting superior rank, by kings such as Hammurabi of Babylon and Zimri-Lim of Mari.
