Fan Ju

d. c. 255 BCE · 3rd century BCE · Also known as Fan Sui

Fan Ju, also read Fan Sui, was a native of Wei who became chancellor of the State of Qin under King Zhaoxiang in 266 BCE. He advised Qin to ally with distant states while attacking its neighbours, a strategy that guided its later conquests. His rivalry with the general Bai Qi contributed to Bai Qi's forced suicide in 257 BCE.
