Fatawa-i-Alamgiri

The Fatawa-i-Alamgiri is a compilation of Islamic law of the Hanafi school, prepared by scholars under the patronage of the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in the late seventeenth century. It reflected Aurangzeb's emphasis on Islamic orthodoxy and served as a legal reference in the Mughal Empire.
