Hanafi school
The Hanafi school is one of the four main schools of Sunni Islamic law, named after the eighth-century jurist Abu Hanifa. It is known for its use of reasoning and was widely followed in Central Asia and the Turkic world. The Seljuk Empire patronised Hanafi jurists as part of its promotion of Sunni orthodoxy.
