Feltrino Gonzaga
Feltrino Gonzaga was a son of Luigi Gonzaga, the first Gonzaga lord of Mantua. He ruled Reggio Emilia as its lord from the 1330s until 1371, when he gave up the city to the Visconti of Milan, keeping only Novellara and Bagnolo in the plain to the north. These lands became the County of Novellara, held by his descendants, a cadet branch of the Gonzaga, until the line died out in 1728.
