FET y de las JONS

1937–1977 · 20th century · Also known as Falange Española Tradicionalista y de las JONS

FET y de las JONS was the single party of Francoist Spain, created by Francisco Franco's decree of unification in April 1937, which merged the fascist Falange Española de las JONS with the Carlist traditionalists under his own leadership. It controlled the official trade unions, youth and women's organisations and propaganda, though its influence declined after the Second World War. Later known as the National Movement, it was dissolved in 1977.
