Gadayuddha
The Gadayuddha ('battle of maces') is a Kannada poem by Ranna, composed around 982, that retells the final duel between Bhima and Duryodhana from the Mahabharata. Written in the champu style, it compares its patron, the Western Chalukya prince Satyashraya, to Bhima and is counted among the masterpieces of early Kannada literature.
