Gannascus
Gannascus was a Germanic leader of the Cananefates who led Chauci raids on the coast of Roman Gaul in 47 CE. Tacitus reports that he had earlier served Rome as an auxiliary before deserting. The general Corbulo defeated the raiders at sea and later had Gannascus assassinated, provoking unrest among the Chauci.
