North Sea
The North Sea is a marginal sea of the Atlantic Ocean between Britain, Scandinavia, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and France. Its storms are notoriously unpredictable. After the defeat of the Spanish Armada in 1588, North Sea storms wrecked many of its ships, demonstrating the limits of the Spanish Empire's naval design in northern waters.
