Scandinavia
Scandinavia is the region of northern Europe comprising Denmark, Norway and Sweden. In the Viking Age Scandinavian traders used river routes such as the Volga, through which silver dirhams flowed northward via Khazar territory, as accounts of the Khazar Khaganate note. In the early modern period Scandinavian markets imported Baltic grain from the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.
