Gazi (Kenya)
Gazi is a coastal village south of Mombasa in Kwale County, Kenya. In the nineteenth century it became the seat of a branch of the Mazrui family who had lost Mombasa to the Busaidi of Oman, and from there Mbaruk bin Rashid al-Mazrui led a rebellion against British rule in 1895–1896.
