Gniezno

Gniezno is a city in Greater Poland, western Poland, one of the earliest centres of the Polish state under the Piast dynasty. In 1000, at the Congress of Gniezno, Emperor Otto III and Bolesław I founded an archbishopric there, and early kings of Poland were crowned in its cathedral. The archbishop of Gniezno is still the Primate of Poland.
