Guebwiller

Also known as Gebweiler

Guebwiller is a town in the Haut-Rhin department of Alsace, France, at the entrance to the Florival valley of the southern Vosges. It was the main town of the territory of the prince-abbots of Murbach, who moved their seat there in the 18th century and built its neoclassical church of Notre-Dame. In the 19th century it became a centre of textile manufacturing.
