Hadamar
Hadamar is a small town in Hesse, Germany, near Limburg an der Lahn. From 1607 to 1711 it was the seat of the counts, later princes, of Nassau-Hadamar, whose baroque palace survives. During the Second World War its psychiatric hospital was one of the killing centres of the Nazi 'euthanasia' programme, where nearly 15,000 people were murdered; it is now a memorial.
