Lahn

The Lahn is a river of western Germany, about 245 km long and a right tributary of the Rhine. It rises in the Rothaar Mountains and flows through Marburg, Giessen, Wetzlar, Weilburg, Limburg and Nassau to join the Rhine at Lahnstein. Its valley was a heartland of the House of Nassau and other Hessian counties, and its iron ore supported mining and smelting.
