The Hikayat Aceh is a Malay court chronicle of the Aceh Sultanate, written in the 17th century in praise of Sultan Iskandar Muda. It tells of his ancestry, birth and youth in a style influenced by Persian royal biographies, and survives only incompletely. It is a major source for the history and court culture of Aceh at the height of its power.
