The Hungarian Democratic Forum was a centre-right political party founded in 1987 at Lakitelek by intellectuals opposed to communist rule. It won Hungary's first free elections in 1990, and its leader József Antall became prime minister. After losing power in 1994 it declined steadily and dissolved itself in 2011.
