Ibini Ukpabi

Also known as Long Juju

Ibini Ukpabi was an oracle shrine at Arochukwu in south-eastern Nigeria, known to Europeans as the Long Juju. Consulted by people from across Igboland and beyond to settle disputes, it gave the Aro great authority, and many of those it condemned were sold into slavery. British forces destroyed the shrine during the Anglo-Aro War of 1901–1902.
