Ilisu
Ilisu is a village in the Qakh district of north-western Azerbaijan, in a valley on the southern slopes of the Greater Caucasus. From the early 17th century it was the seat of the sultans of Elisu, who ruled the surrounding Tsakhur and Ingiloy communities until Russia abolished the sultanate in 1844. Towers and other fortifications of that period survive.
