Iluro
Iluro was a Roman town on the site of modern Mataró, on the Maresme coast north-east of Barcelona. Founded in the early 1st century BCE in the territory of the Iberian Laietani, it took its name from an earlier Iberian settlement nearby and became a centre of wine production. Remains of the town and of the Roman villa of Torre Llauder survive in Mataró.
