Isonokami Shrine

Also known as Isonokami Jingū

Isonokami Shrine is a Shinto shrine in Tenri, Nara Prefecture, one of the oldest in Japan. It was associated with the Mononobe clan, who kept the Yamato court's weapons, and served as an armoury of sacred swords. Among its treasures is the Seven-Branched Sword, a gift from a Baekje king to a ruler of Wa, now a National Treasure of Japan.
