Italian Riviera
The Italian Riviera is the coastal strip of Liguria in north-western Italy, between the French border and La Spezia, with Genoa at its centre. It is divided into the Riviera di Ponente to the west and the Riviera di Levante to the east. Its small ports, such as Noli, Savona and Portofino, lived from fishing and seaborne trade, and from the 19th century it became a major resort coast.
