Del Carretto
The Del Carretto were a Ligurian and Piedmontese noble family descended from the Aleramici marquises of Savona. From the 12th century they ruled the Marquisate of Finale and other fiefs on the western Riviera, with their seat at Finalborgo, while the port of Noli freed itself from them in 1192. Finale passed to Spain in 1602.
