Jejakabhukti
Jejakabhukti was the medieval name of the Bundelkhand region of central India, ruled by the Chandela dynasty from the 9th to the 13th century. Chandela inscriptions derive the name from Jeja, or Jayashakti, an early king of the line. The region covered the uplands between the Yamuna and the Narmada, with the forts of Kalinjar, Mahoba and Ajaigarh.
