Yamuna
The Yamuna is a major river of northern India and the largest tributary of the Ganges, flowing about 1,370 kilometres from the Himalaya past Delhi, Mathura and Agra to join the Ganges at Prayagraj. The fertile Ganga–Yamuna doab between the two rivers was the heartland of many north Indian states. The river is sacred in Hinduism and closely linked with Krishna.
