Yamparika
The Yamparika, or Yap Eaters, named after a root they gathered, were the northernmost division of the Comanche. They ranged along the Arkansas River in present-day Colorado and Kansas and traded and fought with the Cheyenne, Arapaho and Kiowa. They signed the Medicine Lodge Treaty of 1867 and were settled on the Kiowa-Comanche reservation in Indian Territory.
