Yaminites
The Yaminites (Binu Yamina, 'sons of the right', that is, of the south) were a confederation of Amorite pastoral tribes along the middle Euphrates in the early second millennium BCE. Known mainly from the Mari archives, they repeatedly resisted the kings of Mari, and Zimri-Lim fought a major campaign against them early in his reign. Their northern counterparts and rivals were the Sim'alites.
