Johor Lama
Johor Lama, Old Johor, is a historic site on the Johor River in southern Malaysia that served as the capital of the Johor Sultanate in the 16th century. The successors of the sultans of Malacca built a fortified town there, which Aceh and the Portuguese attacked repeatedly; the Portuguese sacked it in 1587, and the court later moved upstream to Batu Sawar.
