Kahone
Kahone is a town in west-central Senegal, just east of Kaolack on the Saloum river. It was the royal capital of the Serer kingdom of Saloum from the late 15th century, where the Buur Saloum held court with the great titled chiefs. Its position on the river trade route later favoured the rise of nearby Kaolack.
