Kamil Pasha al-Qudsi
Kamil Pasha al-Qudsi was an Aleppine notable who served as the first governor of the State of Aleppo, created by the French Mandate authorities in 1920. He governed under French supervision as the city's merchants suffered from new borders cutting Aleppo off from Anatolia. In 1925 the state was merged with Damascus into the State of Syria.
