Katehr

Also known as Katehar

Katehr was the medieval name of the region east of the Ganges in today's Uttar Pradesh, India, later known as Rohilkhand. Its Rajput chiefs resisted the Delhi Sultanate and the Mughals, and from the late 17th century Afghan settlers, the Rohillas, made it the base of their own state.
