Rohillas
The Rohillas were Pashtun (Afghan) soldiers and settlers who came to northern India from the late 17th century and settled in the Katehr region, which became known as Rohilkhand. Under Ali Mohammed Khan and Hafiz Rahmat Khan they built a state in the decline of the Mughal Empire. After the Rohilla War of 1774 only their state of Rampur survived.
