Kilij Arslan IV

d. 1265 · 13th century · Also known as Rukn al-Din Kilij Arslan IV

Kilij Arslan IV was sultan of the Seljuk Sultanate of Rum from 1248, under Mongol overlordship, at first alongside his brothers Kaykaus II and Kayqubad II. Backed by the Mongols, he became sole ruler after Kaykaus II fled in 1261, but real power lay with the minister known as the Pervane, who had him put to death in 1265.
