Kirn
Kirn is a town on the Nahe River in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, at the edge of the Hunsrück hills. Above it stands the ruined Kyrburg castle, a seat of the Wild- and Rhinegraves and of their successors, the Princes of Salm-Kyrburg, who ruled the town until the French occupation of the Rhineland in the 1790s. It later became known for leather-making and brewing.
