Kirtivarman II
Kirtivarman II was the last king of the Chalukya dynasty of Badami, succeeding his father Vikramaditya II in 746. In 753 his feudatory Dantidurga overthrew him and founded the Rashtrakuta dynasty, which took over the Chalukya lands in the Deccan. The Chalukyas returned to power in the 10th century as the Western Chalukyas of Kalyani.
