Kollidam River
The Kollidam, also called the Coleroon, is the northern distributary of the Kaveri river in Tamil Nadu, southern India. It branches off just above Srirangam, enclosing the island temple town between its two streams, and flows north-east to the Bay of Bengal. It has long marked the northern edge of the fertile Thanjavur delta, separating it from the lands of the Gingee and Arcot regions.
