Srirangam
Srirangam is a river island and temple town between the Kaveri and Kollidam rivers at Tiruchirappalli in Tamil Nadu, India. It is the site of the Ranganathaswamy Temple, dedicated to Vishnu, one of the largest functioning Hindu temples in the world and the foremost shrine of Sri Vaishnavism. The Cholas, Pandyas, Hoysalas and Vijayanagara rulers enlarged it, and the philosopher Ramanuja worked there.
