Kon Tum
Kon Tum is a town and province in the northern Central Highlands of Vietnam, on the Đắk Bla river. The surrounding highlands are home to the Bahnar, Sedang and other upland peoples, among whom French Catholic missionaries founded a mission in the mid-19th century. It was the setting of Mayrena's short-lived Kingdom of Sedang in 1888–1890 and of heavy fighting in the Vietnam War, notably in 1972.
