Kotagede
Kotagede is a historic district of the city of Yogyakarta in central Java, Indonesia. It was the first capital of the Mataram Sultanate, built up in the late sixteenth century by Ki Ageng Pemanahan and his son Panembahan Senapati, whose graves lie beside its old royal mosque. Later famous for its silverwork, it keeps traditional houses and remains of its walls.
