Kouris River

The Kouris is one of the main rivers of Cyprus, rising in the Troodos Mountains and flowing south to the sea near Episkopi, west of Limassol. Ancient Kourion stood on the cliffs near its mouth and ruled the fertile land along its valley. The Kouris Dam, completed in 1988, holds the island's largest reservoir.
