Lake Pleshcheyevo

Lake Pleshcheyevo is a lake in Yaroslavl Oblast, Russia, on whose south-eastern shore stands Pereslavl-Zalessky. In the late 1680s and early 1690s the young Peter the Great built a flotilla of small ships there, regarded as a forerunner of the Russian navy, and his surviving boat, the Fortuna, is kept in a museum nearby. The lake and its surroundings form a national park.
