Le Locle

Le Locle is a town in the Jura mountains of the canton of Neuchâtel, Switzerland, near the French border. Watchmaking took root there around 1700, traditionally through Daniel JeanRichard, and it became with La Chaux-de-Fonds a world centre of the industry; the two towns are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Watch firms such as Tissot and Zenith are based there.
