Liaoyang

Also known as Xiangping

Liaoyang is a city in Liaoning province, north-east China, on the Taizi river. As Xiangping it was the seat of the Liaodong commandery and of the Gongsun warlords at the end of the Han period. It was later the Eastern Capital of the Liao and Jin dynasties, and Nurhaci's capital from 1621 until he moved to Shenyang in 1625.
