Lippstadt

Lippstadt is a town in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, on the Lippe, founded around 1185 by Bernhard II of Lippe as one of the first planned towns in Westphalia. A Hanseatic town, it was for centuries ruled jointly by the lords of Lippe and the counts of the Mark and their successors. Today it is an industrial centre.
