Lisieux
Lisieux is a town in Normandy, north-western France, in the Calvados department. Under Rome it was Noviomagus Lexoviorum, the chief town of the Gallic Lexovii, and from the 6th century it was the seat of a bishopric. It is best known today as the home of Saint Thérèse of Lisieux, whose basilica, consecrated in 1954, is a major pilgrimage centre.
