Lithuanian Civil War (1432–1438)
The Lithuanian Civil War of 1432–1438 was fought over the throne of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania between Švitrigaila and Sigismund Kęstutaitis, who was backed by Poland. Sigismund's victory at Pabaiskas (Wiłkomierz) in 1435 decided the war in his favour and kept Lithuania in its union with Poland, though Sigismund himself was murdered in 1440.
