Grand Duchy of Lithuania

The Grand Duchy of Lithuania was a large state in Eastern Europe that expanded across present-day Lithuania, Belarus and Ukraine in the fourteenth century. United with Poland in a personal union and then by the Union of Lublin in 1569, it formed one half of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.
