Lithuanian Crusade

1283–1422 · 13th century · Part of the Northern Crusades

The Lithuanian Crusade was the series of campaigns by the Teutonic Order and the Livonian Order against the pagan Grand Duchy of Lithuania from the late thirteenth century. The orders raided Lithuania nearly every year, and Lithuania struck back into Prussia and Livonia. The crusade lost its purpose after Lithuania's Christianisation in 1387 and ended with the Treaty of Melno in 1422.
