Livonia
Livonia is a historical region on the eastern Baltic coast, covering parts of present-day Latvia and Estonia. It was contested by Russia, Poland-Lithuania and Sweden after the Livonian War. Sweden took most of it in the early seventeenth century, making it a key province of the Swedish Empire until its loss to Russia in the Great Northern War.
